At only 21 years old, Sultan Mehmed II, known as Mehmed the Conqueror, achieved one of the greatest victories in world history by conquering Istanbul after a 53-day siege, changing the course of an entire era.
The conquest of Istanbul on May 29, 1453, was not only the fall of a city, but also a symbol of determination, vision, strategy and faith that reshaped the future of civilizations.
On the anniversary of this historic victory, we respectfully remember Sultan Mehmed II and his heroic army with gratitude and honor.
